Pastor Paul’s Legacy

In October 2021, Pastor Paul had the adventure of his life as he flew into the arms of his Savior in heaven. Pastor Paul’s son, Sam, recounted that “many times Dad would talk about meeting his Savior and frame it within the verbal picture of, "the greatest flight any pilot could imagine".

Pastor Paul’s deepest desire was for all to know the Gospel and come to know Jesus as he did. He grew up in Abercrombie, ND, and went on to attend AFLBS and AFLTS where he met and married his Bible School sweetheart, Laurie Dietsche, in 1974. They had three children and ten grandchildren who were his pride and joy. Anyone who knew Pastor Paul was blessed by his contagious zest for life and love for people. Pastor Paul started Shamgar Ministries in March of 2020 after serving for more than 20 years as a pastoral coach and a mission director, and as a gospel-centered pastor for most of two decades.

Pastor Paul loved Shamgar Ministries and embodied the mission of, “mobilizing men for God’s mission and His glory.” His presence on this earth is greatly missed and felt.

During his lifetime, Pastor Paul developed training materials on a wide variety of topics and timeless Biblical truths. It’s a blessing to honor his legacy by readily making those available to each of you.
